Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> March 11, Zoo <br /> Present: Wayne Taylor,Richard Halpern, Beverly Dane, Evelyn Buschenfeldt, <br /> Ralph Shaw, Crus Frederick <br /> Absent: Diane Rommelmeyer, Ed Larkin, Paula Peters <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Taylor at .oo p.m. <br /> Town Hall,.Conference Room#I <br /> MINUTES: - <br /> Tuesday, January 15,2008-Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Ms. Kane to approve the minutes of Tuesday, <br /> January 1 ,2008 as presented. <br /> Moti n seconded by Mr* Halpern. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> Ms. Buschenfeldt abstained. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearin -APOicafions for October 2008 Town Meetin <br /> The Community Preservation Committee opened the Public Hearing <br /> as a public informational meeting on the needs,possibilities and resources <br /> of the town as they relate to'historic preservation, recreation, affordable <br /> housing and open space. The hearing notice was read aloud in accordance <br /> with posting procedures. <br /> At the hearing, information about application procedures, fu <br /> for the nding <br /> of projects at the Annual Town Meeting of October 2008 terasprovided. It <br /> was noted the deadline to submit applications is April 1, 2008. <br /> For disclosure, it was noted the following is available for appropriation at <br /> the May 2008 Town Meeting; <br /> Budgeted Reserve: $1,151,567.00 <br /> Open Space 10% Reserve: $177,267 <br /> Historical 10%Reserve: $195,535 (less $35,500) <br /> Affordable Housing 10% Deserve -0- <br /> An article is placed on the Special Town Meeting Warrant to fund upon <br /> voter approval,the relocation of the Mashpee One Doom Schoolhouse. If <br /> the article is supported, funding would derive Brom the 10%Historical <br /> Deserve. <br />
