5 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> April 8, 2008 <br /> OLDBUSINESS: <br /> Catherine Laurent—HeritagePark: <br /> The playground,an estimated cost of$32,000 is proposed Mn the picnic <br /> area for children ages 2 through 5 and for age groups between 5 and 12. <br /> Segregated and multiple structures were presented in a sketch of the <br /> playground at the Heritage Park facility. Where is a growling need for <br /> additional play structures with increased activity at the park. <br /> The Committee agreed that accommodations should be made for handicap <br /> accessibility. <br /> i <br /> With increased vandalism at the.Heritage Park,a security system is <br /> proposed for a cost of$22,000. Digital surveillance cameras are proposed <br /> at specific locations to offset vandals. The digital recording cameras are <br /> noted to be accessible as a live feed to the Police Department dispatch. <br /> Motion sensors to alert police were a recommendation of the CPC. <br /> The Committee also recommended that additional signage be placed at the <br /> Heritage Park facility revealing on-site video surveillance to help deter { <br /> vandalism. <br /> 14 <br /> Included the budget is a security system for access into the new <br /> building and concession building.
