9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 28, 2015 <br /> Approval of Special Events Application, Pumpkinhead Road Race on October 3, 2015 -Mashpee <br /> Chamber of Commerce: <br /> Mary Lou Palumbo, Executive Director of the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce was before the Board <br /> to request approval of the second annual Pumkinhead Road Race planned in conjunction with the <br /> Olctoberfest. There are no changes to the road race route which begins on Job's Fishing Road. <br /> It was noted that Mashpee Commons will be hanging two banners to announce the race, and <br /> Popponesset Real Estate will be placing signage at their site location. Runners and walkers are needed <br /> for the l Ok run and 5k run/walk. Volunteers are also sought. Registration will take place at the <br /> Mashpce Library at 8;30 a.m. on the day.of the event. The race should be over by 12:00 p.m. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Special Events Application of the Mashpee <br /> Chamber of Commerce for the 21" Annual Dunkin Donuts Shipyard Pumpkinhead Road Race <br /> on October 3, 2015. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous, 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br /> Approval of Special Events Application, Second Annual PetFest....Town Clerk: <br /> Deborah Dami, the Town Clerk was in attendance to request the Selectmen approve the Town Clerk's <br /> Office Second Annual PetFest scheduled to be held at the Community Park on Saturday, October 17, <br /> 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The rain date is October 18, 2015, <br /> Mrs. Dami indicated that last year, the event was held behind Town Hail. To expand the offering of <br /> the rabies clinic and availability to license dogs, the use of the Community Park would be <br /> advantageous, It is anticipated at least 75 persons would attend the event. Mrs. Dami requested <br /> permission to have dogs at the Community Park. Additional events include K-9 demonstrations, dog <br /> sled races, a bounce house, face painting, food trucks, and a blessing of the animals. Flags would be <br /> posted at the park entrance to direct parking.
