2 <br /> Council on Aging <br /> Minutes <br /> February 8, 2012 <br /> Present: Jack Dorsey,Arthur Eisenberg, Iry Goldberg, Jack Jordan, <br /> Jeanne Noussee,Mary Gaffney <br /> Jim Long—COA Director <br /> Lynne Waterman—Outreach Coordinator <br /> Absent: Marijo Gorney,Virginia McIntyre,Norah McCormick <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Dorsey at 8:35 a.m. <br /> Senior Center Conference Room <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Wednesday, December 14,2011 &Wednesday, January 11, 2012: <br /> Motion made by Mr. Goldberg to approve the minutes of Wednesday, <br /> December 14,2011 and Wednesday,January 11,2012 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr.Jordan. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 6-0. <br /> Rall Call Vote: All in favor. <br /> APPOINTMENTS &HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment:None at this time. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS &CORRESPONDENCE;_ <br /> Director's Report: <br /> Jim Long,the Council on Aging Director distributed the January report of <br /> monthly activities to the COA Board for review. It was noted the report is now <br /> forwarded to the Town Manager and copied to the Board of Selectmen for <br /> informational purposes. <br /> The report contained an outline of short term goals. It was recommended the <br /> Council on Aging Board hold a planning session to develop both short and long <br /> term goals with the guidance of the COA staff. <br /> It was agreed the validity of the COA Appointment List would be fiirther verified <br /> with the Office of the Town Clerk, and it was suggested the list include the initial <br /> appointment term of membership for additional review. The COA Board has <br /> nine members and is presently open to revitalize its membership. <br />
