4 <br /> Council on Aging <br /> Minutes <br /> February S, 2012 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Behavioral Policy: <br /> The review of the Behavioral Policy was deferred to the March meeting. <br /> Window Tinting: <br /> Last month, several upper level windows were tinted to alleviate excess sunlight. <br /> However, the tinting has not eliminated the glare and the matter is anticipated to <br /> be re-evaluated. <br /> Front Desk Design: <br /> The configuration of the front desk is being reviewed to alleviate excess noise and <br /> potential breaches of confidentiality. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS: <br /> Planning Session—Goal Setting_ <br /> The COA Director reiterated the need for the COA Board to develop a set of <br /> goals for the Council on Aging as well as the Mashpee Senior Center. It was <br /> agreed a planning session would be conducted at the March meeting. <br /> MA Council on Aging—Request for Donation: <br /> Communication was recently received from the Massachusetts Council on Aging <br /> requesting senior centers across the state to donate $100 for the purpose of <br /> contributing to the senior centers in western Massachusetts who have been <br /> affected by the winter storm damage. To date,the Mashpee Senior Center has <br /> secured$37.50 in donations. The COA Board was requested to allocate the <br /> remaining funds to the MA Council on Aging. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Dorsey to allocate the remaining funds for a sum not to <br /> exceed $100 to the MA Council on Aging as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr.Jordan. <br /> VOTE: 5-1. Motion carries. <br /> Roll Call Vote: All in favor with the exception of Mr. Goldberg. <br />
