Photos were dis- <br /> played showing storm events, revetments that are coning apart. A second lot <br /> new has a revetment that will be coming before the commission, o of the beach <br /> areas along from the golf course to the start of Ppponesset Spit is eroded. <br /> The Belkin property is going to be armored. 925 feet representsi representthe area to be <br /> armored for Maushop, a 2+% total increase. The cottages have been moved back <br /> as far as allowed, <br /> Mean High Water is at 1.9 feet. All construction will be above extreme high <br /> water nark. It .does. not need an ACOE pest. <br /> There is some scouring. Any material brought down here is carried off for a <br /> net loss. They are putting down 2,650 c. .for beach nourishment. The erosion <br /> rate is 2.2 feet per year. Mr. Dyes listed the amounts of beach nourishment <br /> along the shore lime, <br /> There is emerging salt marsh and tree stumps that have been berried. Erosion <br /> occuring is eroding and migrating the beach back* Transport is in the direction <br /> of the Northwest coming in from the Southwest. Changes in sediment due to the <br /> armorment structures are interupting currents. <br /> The structure is designed on the loo year storm event; Class 3 hurricane.- It <br /> is a double row of armonnent backed with filter fabric. It is at elevation 16. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked if the picture represents the true slope, Mr. Hayes stated <br /> it does, it is 2 to 1. It was the practice to use smooth fake with very little <br /> dissipation of the wave energy. Eight ton toe stones will be used. The off- <br /> shore bottom is stable. At Tide Watch, they are getting a deepening of the <br /> off-shore gradient. <br /> When the fill is brought down to Clamshell Road l they will have to tie in so <br /> it is non-detrimental to adjacent properties. Beach nourishment will protect <br /> the coastal bank. Under the final order of Conditions by the State, there is <br /> n opportunity for the applicant to nourish in a severe storm event. <br />
