He and Elias McQuaid went <br /> to the site. There is a small wetland coming under the jurisdiction of the bylaw. <br /> They would have to file an RDA to determine the extent of the wetland and they will <br /> have to hire a consultant. "there 'is standing water; it would not rake a quarter <br /> acre foot. It W111 be necessary to determine size and extent. <br /> Mr. Coffey asked the location and contents It is across from "La Plaza Del 'Sol", <br /> the Motel. It contains white goods, refrigerators, stoves, 'five abandoned fuel <br /> tanks, a 1000 gallon gas tank; one is being used to fuel the front end loader used <br /> to push material into the kettle hole; several hundred cubic yards of brush dumped <br /> as a refit of Hurricane Bob and building debris. <br /> Mr, Oakley has acknowledged he was the culprit and stated he would attend this <br /> meeting tonight. It was noted he was not present) . He was in the process of <br /> cleaning the area and was told not to do any work in the kettle hole. He is in <br /> vzol tion; any land fill operation has to be approved by the State and Burd of <br /> Health. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated, if a wetland, the water should be tested. <br /> Mr. McQuaid advised there is a water problem two houses up from Meadowbrook Road. <br /> within 500 yards of this dump site. It tested with volatiles. The house adjacent <br /> has extremely high iron content. <br /> Mr* Greelish asked if anybody has looked at old topos to determine what the kettle <br /> hole was 20 to 30 years ago? <br /> Mr. Coffey asked if it is near the hogs or near Santuit River? Mr. Greelish advised <br /> it is one -quarter mile, or a 13-ttle further away from the Santuit River. <br /> Mr. Greelish advised photos that were taken are among the <br /> missing- <br /> . Sherman stated he has photos; he will have double copies made. He has wetland <br /> inventory maps also. It was agreed he and Elias McQuaid will go out tomorrow t <br /> verify work has been stopped. <br /> Mr. McQuaid advised the Fire Department was notified before he and the agent went <br /> out and they observed the tanks. A notice will be seat the tanks must be removed <br /> by the end of this week. <br /> 1r. Doherty added, properly removed, make sure. <br /> 'Ir. McQuaid will check on this. <br /> Mr. Coffey stated he would like to see this cleaned up from the Conservation angle; <br /> he offered his assistance. <br />
