1
Conservation Commission
`eb 21, 1991
Page
LOWLAND: - We had been given reports from three different firms from Cape & Islands
Surveying prior to going out on the site; one from Arline Wilson, Bill Richardson,
and Sasaki comes to mind for the other, but I am not sure.
YORK: May we have copies of these reports. - Mr. Howland agreed.
AMONIO PULS N : The Comnussion has all of them on record.
i
I OWLAND: Most of the reports refer to both lots all the time anyway*
(To MarkHowland) The other thing we need is, we ask for every consultant's
resume. Mr. Howland presented his.
MR: Regarding stamps, there is only the engineer's stamp on the plan. We
will need the surveyor's stamp on the final plan.
SIMMONS: Are there any questions from the public? Where were none.
MR. PSN : le have been on this project .a year. It seems like every time
I come down we are at. another stalemate and I would like to really resolve
this.
SIMMONS: 1 can understand this. Would' a month's time be adequate?
This was agreeable to all concerned.
CONTINUED TO APRIL 4. 1991 - 7:00 p.m. to 7:30-p.m.
Mr. Cauley to be contacted if anything is needed by the commission in the meantime.
7:30 JOSEPH P. ERIM for a Determination of Applicability on a proposal to
repair an existing dock and float; clean up of trees and limbs; removal of poison
ivy; and construction of stairs down the bank at 52 Old Dock Lame.
Mr. Sherman advised he received a telephone report that Mr. Rintone was clearing
within 100 feet of the top of the coastal bank. He was given time to file as
abutter notification was being relaxed. All the work dome is in the buffer zone
and although without a filing, it is probably a betterment.
Mr. Rintone stated he had contacted the Commission earlier to see what he could do
with vines that had taken over and killed some Cedar trees. He. cut the vines and
trees are coming back nicely, He has not cut anything that wa8 alive. wring an
on--site with the Arborist, it was suggested a set of stairs be put in and he would
like to do planting,
Mr. Sherman agreed 907' of the work is not detrimental, the vines were strangling
the trees. However, the stairs going over the bank would rewire a Notice of
Intent and could not be approved tonight. They would invoke a different portion
of the act and require a positive determination for work on a coastal bank.
The letter from Ellis Allen, Amorist-Constant, was read into the record.
Mr. Rintone questioned the term Faltering" and stated if he does not build the
stairs and continues to walk over the bank, thea he would be altering.
L
