It is planned
to push the sand into the dune area and increase elevation by about 1' , work to be
accomplished with a bobcat. Three pasts are shown so that vehicles cannot go through
but leaving a space for pedestrian foot traffic.,
Mr, Sherman advised it meets all performance standards. The only potential problem
is that sand cannot be placed anywhere that would cover dune vegetation.
Mr. Grotke stated there is none there now.
A resident of the audience who was present thought it would. be a great improvement.
People whose cars are getting stud in the lot have been coring to his home for
assistance.
Mr. Grotzke suggested a snow fence to trap sand and build up the dune but that
would not close off access.
Mr. Sherman stated he is in favor of what is proposed but felt this should be the
subject of a Notice of Intent as a Resource Area Improvement. Also, the superseding
Order has not been received on the adjacent dune creation.
r. Coffey suggested the material be removed and stockpiled for beach nourishment.
DEP to be consulted with concerns.
V: Motion made and seconded to continue pending clarification of regulations.
Mr, trot ke stated if filing of a Notice of Intent would be required he would opt
to remove the sand and address the dune reconstruction at the tie of beach
nourishment,
§§§§§§§§§§
COURSE-MOODS BOLE: The agent advised of a two day course on Repairing and Restoring
Polluted waters to be held on July 25 and 26 that he wished to attend.
VCFIE: Motion made and seconded that the agent attend the course at woods Hole at
cost of $115,00,
Office to be closed during the move from July 23 through July 29.
