Bob Dowling and Karen Blanchard presenting. <br /> Mr. Sherman went out today and found the wetland flagged. It was not indicated <br /> on the plan by specific locations. <br /> Concerning the work done on Daniel's Island, he was not happy with this work. The <br /> salt fence was inadequate. The area disturbed is wider than the Commission was told j <br /> it would be. He is not prepared to give any vote of confidence to this project at <br /> this moment. <br /> . <br /> Mr. Dowling stated he was blindsided on the Daniel's Island project at this point. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated the fence is clown in many places between the mainland and the <br /> marina. No seeding has come back. <br /> Mrs. Simmons stated when --the fence is removed, soil is ging to go right down into <br /> the near h. <br /> Mr. Coffey asked what procedures would afford protection to the Commission's concerns <br /> Mr. Dowling suggested perhaps more inspections; the Commission's concerns will be <br /> addressed. <br /> Ms Blanchard advised they will be picking up and Installing 4 inch gas main where <br /> Atn r Brown comes in and goes over the causeway.' work is to be done by hand' and it <br /> is not possible to get a machine- in that area. Haybales as silt barrier are proposed. = <br /> It is tight between the edge of the road and stone revetment area. The-water District . <br /> proposes to nm water lines in 1992. The Cas Company would like to begin as soon as <br /> possible. Haybales will be between the posts with one behind each post. They are <br /> trenching to -1 feet- o be done with pick and shovel. soil will be pled on the <br /> pavement, <br /> It was agreed the Agent and Mr. Dowling will meet at the site. <br /> Bob DeLorey advised the Telephone Company used an auger and went right through. <br /> Mr. Coffey asked the „ pact on the other utilities such as the water? Mr. Dowling <br /> stated it is in the road surface and there are no plana drawn on it yet. <br /> Concerning the DPW,- they approved what has been discussed. This should be one weeps <br /> work With a full crew, <br /> Mr. Coffey questioned revegetation and the use of fiber mesh. Mr. Dowling stated <br /> they have used erosion control netting; this can be dome with an order of Conditions. <br /> Mrs. Fudala suggested a schedule of inspections -after installation, <br /> Robert Johnson advised there are buried oil tanks on Monomoscoy. They have been <br /> attempting to get gas there for four years. Where is not much vegetation there, <br /> sand and stone. Beyond theposts is riprap put in in 1954 and then they put tar <br /> and oil. The Association came through the Commission to have the grass cut. <br /> Everyone on the island has an interest in this installation. <br /> Pauline DeLorey asked if the town has the Fire Department flush out the sluiceway. <br />
