An application was before the
Commission and withdrawn in 1987. A special pernut was received from the Board of
Appeals in March. Flags are shown on the plan.
Mr. Sherman stated he has no reservations on the project but the maps show the
conservation restriction act applies, a Notice of Intent will have to be submitted
to them. Also, permission fora is Missing from the package.
le l Somerville advised the area is not a shellfish habitat or submerged a i tic
vegetation on that site. The structure e ' of pose a threat to any resources.
Nor. Coffey asked if this precludes Dr. Feldman from putting a pier on his property?
Mr. Cameron advised the 1978 application was by Cernigl.ia alone; New Seabury stated
they would not give approval unless this was done jointly. Dr. Feldman will access
through a reserve lot, per legal- agreement of Cernigl.ia and Feldman. Mr, Cameron
agreed to provide a revised plan with location ,of the path from the right of way
to the pier.
Mrs.. S eons questioned whether the float would touch bottom and was told it would
not.
Concerning the boat, it is a small runabout drawing six inches of water; there will
be one foot of water on a normal low tide.
Mrs. Simmons asked if it could be specified that it be bow first.
Mr. a cosi rs asked what assurance could be given that a larger boat would not
appear later? &, Cameron suggested a restriction in the order of Condition
and also advised the float is held by pipe piles which would 1=4 "t the size of
the boat that would tie up there,
Mr. Coffey asked if it would have any impact on the concrete public launching
area and ghat other docks are possible in the area?
Mr, Cameron advised the Harbormaster had concerns with impact on .the launching
ramp prior to a site visit but now has none. fir. Cohen has his pier in the cove
and there will just be this one. Sounding depth, 12 inches in diameter, 3 pounds,
was used; not the sort that can be pushed through to mud.
r.
