i <br /> I ' <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> November 3. 201 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARING-S: <br /> Mw Bradbury—I Ia h ee Corr r unit Househ ld Goods&Food Drive: <br /> - .,, . <br /> Mary Bradbury, Recreation Director announced the Mash Community Household <br /> Goods& Food Drive scheduled to begin on November rT <br /> through November 2 1 s'- <br /> Participating sites 1n the commurnity initiative to collect non-perishable food items and <br /> household goods are the Mashpee Schools, the Ton Hall Departments and <br /> Administrative Offices,the Police and Fire Departments,the Council on Aging and <br /> Mashpee Library. <br /> At 9:00 a.m. on November 21st,the Recreation van will travel to the collection sites and <br /> return to Town Hall With an anticipated van full of household goods and food. <br /> i <br /> Mash e Fire tern—"Homeless for the o days""Event. <br /> On December 10th through the 1 ',the Mashpee Firefighters focal 2 1 ire conjunction <br /> p � <br /> with the Firefighter Locals from Falmouth, Bourne, Cotuit and Wareham have planned <br /> "Homeless for the Holidays"event at the Mashpee Rotary. <br /> Unwrapped children's toys,non-perishable food items and cash will be collected during <br /> the 103 hour campaign. Donated items are intended to be distributed to needy families in <br /> the Town of Mashpee. Food items will be donated to the Christ The King Church food <br /> pantry. <br /> A site has been secured at the Lobster Wrap located at the Mashpee Rotary for this <br /> endeavor. A liability policy is in puce for this event which began ween years ago in <br /> the Town of Bourne. Mashpee Conn'ions and area businesses are expected to assist in <br /> the community project. <br />
