Conservation Commission <br /> Meeting of August 9, Io <br /> Page 5. <br /> BAFARO: A letter from Town Counsel to the Building Inspector was reviewed. <br /> The issue of Conflict of Interest and Assistant Town Counsel is being referred <br /> to Frank Duffy. <br /> APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP: A letter and resume from Steven X. Cadrin was <br /> distributed. <br /> WILLM M: Mr. Sherman advised he agreed the patch-work could be done without <br /> an emergency certification. <br /> EXPENSE ]DC T: Assurances have been received from Jiro Vaccaro of the Finance <br /> Cottee and Devin Harrington that they will back the Commission's request to <br /> have the funds restored to the expense budget. <br /> After discussion, the Commission was in agreement the agent should attend one <br /> day of a two day seminar in Sturbridge on September 254 <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded that Robert Sherman shall attend a one day <br /> seminar in Sturbridge on September 25. <br /> SANTWIT WOODS REALTY TRUST: Under the RISA for wells, widths for access roads <br /> were exceeded. Haybales have been installed. Mr. Sherman advised, at this <br /> point, filing the required Notice of Intent would put them past the growing <br /> season and suggested accepting a revegetation plan. <br /> Mrs. Simons agreed that would be acceptable if they get the revegetation in <br /> by September 15, <br /> Mr. Sherman stated they can and will; this could be oracle in the form of an <br /> enforcement order without a Notice of Intent. <br /> VOM: -Motion made and seconded to accept a landscape plan for revegetation <br /> and issue an Enforcement order. <br /> NTHLY REPORT was distributed by the agent, <br /> CRJM= APPR ISMS: Mrs. Simmons stated the costs for appraisal should be <br /> paid by the Selectmen as this is being done at their request. The receipts <br /> go into the genera. fund. She advised the Commission has been trying to talk <br /> about this crop price since March; it has not once been mentioned. It is her <br /> feeling the-crop price should stand as it is. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised Steams Irrigation of Plymouth has quoted a' fee of $350. <br /> and he is awaiting a quote from Hayden Separat rr of Wareham. Mr. Coffey agreed <br /> to contact then. <br /> REPORT FROM SUSAN • <br /> C IP - volunteers: They screen interns and charge a $1500 fee, plus salary <br /> and payroll. taxes. The average salary i $360, for a 12 week period. <br /> The Student Conservation Association charges a fee of $1800. and housing rust <br /> be provided. <br /> She suggested contacting Cape Cod Community College for students with the <br /> possibility of credit for courses and also, the local high school.. <br />
