Louise Behrmanr Patrick Coffey,
Joseph Burns , Duncan York, Harry Desroslers, Richard Halpern.
The meeting was called to order at 7 % 00 p . m.
7 : 30 WILLIAH T . A PL YAP , for the proposed raising of ars
existing house to conform with flood plain regulations and
construction and maintenance of an addition, relocation of an
existing shed, new sewage disposal system and revegetation a
57 Kim Path . Bob Burgann presented abutter notification
receipts . An addition to the rear of the house is proposed,
second floor also . The first floor elevation is below the
100 year flood elevation so it is to be raised to flood plain
requirements ; a new septic system is necessary. options are
limited , Mr. Appleyard has town grater but his neighbors are
using their wells . A variance granted by Hoard of Health has
been upheld by D. L . P . It will be necessary to regrade, area
regraded will go to the property of the abutter who has given
permission . Areas regraded will be revegetated with dune
grass . To comply with Title V. there are concrete galls to
be buried below grade to keep the liquid within the confines
of the leaching areas . This has been approved by Board of
Health. There is an existing drywell dealing with runoff.
With regard to the dune and beach, they propose to install a
wall on the edge of the dune . Hr. Sherman added, slightly
into the dune .
The walls will g'o down so that there is- a minimum of four
feet below th'e grade on the bac} side of the house , below
existing grade about three feet. They will be buried below
when the regrading is done and will not be seen. They will
be adding four feet of fill at the gall tapering to existing
grade on the abutting property.
Hr. Sherman asked if the material to be added will be
compatible with the existing dune . Mr. Burgs ann stated they
will match it with what ' s there now.
Hr. Sherman stated, from the standpoint of the Zetland
Protection Act, it meets performance standards . The
dimensions for the leaching facility were not done .
Mr. Burgmann stated the cesspool , based on what they found,
is in the groundwater. They are meeting the 100 ft.
requirement of Title V but not the 150 ft. requirement of the-
Board of Health which received a variance .
Mr. Coffey questioned the leaching from the beach and was
told it is 79 feet to the edge . He questioned how the
building will be elevated and about revegetation.
