* Conservation Co mission
December 27, 1990
Page 4.-
8:15
.8:15 NES S, W.', Snow Fencing, Continued from November 15, 1990. Michael Grotzke
presenting. He advised there has been no response from the attornies. They no longer
intend to put in a parking lot, i4hi.ch was one of the concerns. They do wish to pro-
ceed with the restoration of the dune. -As they will be out there putting down 500
C.Y. of sand as part of the.beach nourishment, they would like to dump a few truck-
loads at that location as part of their bead restoration efforts. They will not
be putting the fence back until the issue is resolved.
Concerning the fence, he is expecting the commission will hear from Mr. McNamara.
1k. Coffey stated the consensus of the connission was support for the restoration
of the dune, whether walkover structures or something else. He would be concerned
that it not just get sand dumped there, or a 'fence, that people will tend to detour
around and widen the path. I 'it is indeed a settled passage issue that it is not
a passage, that would be important to the success of your restoration.
Mr. Grotzke stated there is easy access to the beach a few steps down that most
people take anyway. If the commission decides the proper objective from an environ-
mental point of view ie. , restoring the dune, revegetating the dune, as per their
proposed plan, and ultimately putting up a fence, that will give thea the latitude
to proceed with that and eliminate the need for continued hearings. They will deal
with the neighborly issue in a form outside the Conservation Commission.
On Lot 1379, also scheduled this eve ng, part of that fi
