Paula Hallett, Lot 3 W terl in a Dr. , N. , cont.
Brucet Discusses the method of driving in the piles.
Pauline: Any questions by the Board? I think we should cut this one down to
45 feet. That is what is recommended.
Wayne: What about the temporary system DEQE has recommended?
Pauline The sleevesand hand placement of them,
 s. -
Bruce: I don't really care what they have recommended. 1 have looked into this
quite thoroughly. You can't tell me that the thing is going to work, 1 can
think of a.' couple instances. Number one, you have your outer sleeve underneath
the ice and that is supposed to get it to stay stationery
Pauline: you are suppose to cap it.
Bruce: Yes, you are suppose to be able to take out your things and It is suppose
to be stationery.
Pauline:. Right.
Bruce: But haw is It going to be stationery in some of these waters like Jehu
Pond where- it is very -shallow? It doesn't get deep very fast. if you have a cold ,
winter, that ice goes right down to the bottom. It could be- out as far as 20 Feet
bef ore you start hitting water. If you get a foot of ice or a. Foot and a half of
ice, you can't tell me that ice isn't gong to pull those metal sleeves up. The
ice grabs a metal, dock ,just as easily as it does wooden docks.
Pauline Most of these sleeves are under water.
Bruce: Yes, that is what I am saying.- They are all right as long as you can
keep them under the ice. The other reason is, you would have to take the dock
out. There .is no gray that can work if you leave the dock in because the dock
won't come up at the same time.
Pauline: You should talk to Bob Stevens from DQ .
Bruce: I don't think you can just say that we grant this kind of dock in all kinds
of situations. You would have to prove to me that it storks in all kinds of situa-
tions..
itua.-
tions.. ehu Pond gets too shallows you have to go out 45 feet to get 2-1. feet of
depth.
Pauline: Let's get on with th6 next hearing, pleaset
9620 P.M. Hearing -- E4 -183 number was- received after hearing was held
Robert Gretchen Da.rvin, Lot 23 Fide Nun Buyer: Bruce Fulton Agent: Doyle Assoc.
Pauline: Reads Notice of Intent to build and maintain a, clock and rare on Jehur ,
Pond at Lot 23 Tide Run.
Bruce: This one here is one section less than the other one.
Pauline: That is 40 feet in the water. It looks all right at 40 feet.
