` Maslipee Conservation commission <br /> Minutes of June 8 , 1983 Page 5 . <br /> Beach Concession Structure <br /> The Commission reviewed a letter from Wendy Rubin, Parks & Recreation <br /> Director, stating that Nelson Melvin of Seconset Island Rd. , has been <br /> awarded -the bid for the food service concession at south Cape Beach, <br /> Mr. Melvin is proposing to install a temporary , self-contained portable <br /> building structure. Upon review, the Board determined that a filing <br /> must be made for the Structure. <br /> Fetter from John Sullivan, Birch a <br /> In response to the commission' s letter of May 14, Mr. Sullivan is request- <br /> ing an eaten ion of time -to revegetate Lot 34 Birch Gray due to extremely <br /> inclement weather conditions* The commission granted the extension of <br /> -time stipulating that the work must be completed within fifteen days upon <br /> receipt of notification. The Board also- asked to be notified in writing <br /> when the work has been completed. <br /> Letter to John Umina re: Count r Club Lane <br /> The Commission reviewed a copy of a letter from OEQE to John Umina dated <br /> May 25 with reference to the construction of the proposed Country Club Bane <br /> with relationship to the proposed plans for the Quashnet Valley Golf Course* <br /> E 8' s , Robert Fagan, mentioned ne that the proposed roadway appears to be out- <br /> side of the. jurisdiction of the wetlands Protection Act; however, advises <br /> Umina to notify the Mashpee Conservation Commission prior to commencing s <br /> that they might officially determine whether or not the roadway is appli- <br /> cable to the Act. <br /> ecial Municipal nj2loyees <br /> In a letter dated May 18 , the Board was advised by the Executive Secretary <br /> that the Board of Selectmen voted to designate members of the Conservation <br /> Commission as special municipal employees. <br /> Cranberry Bork Contract <br /> The Board of Selectmen have set a meeting for ,dune 15 at 6:00 in which they <br /> have requested a member of the commission to attend with reference to award- <br /> Ing the contract for the cranberry bog. Pauline DeLory said that she would <br /> attend the meeting. <br /> Re et for Information re: cranberry bo2s leash <br /> In a request from the Sandwich Conservation Commission for information on <br /> .easing cranberry bogs to private growers , -the Board asked the secretary <br /> to hold the letter until Mashpee' s cranberry lease is settled. <br /> Notification of Herbicide Sra in <br /> Cape- Cod Planning & Economic Development Commission informs the Board that <br /> Mass. General Laws Chapter 132 B, Section 6B requires all utility companies <br /> licensed to do business in the commonwealth to notify the Conservation Com- <br /> mission <br /> m- <br /> mission in every town of thein intent to spray easements or rights of way <br /> within town boundaries. <br /> Charlie Buckingham mentioned that the Board of Health office had .it rature <br /> on spray.nq. <br />
