Beach Concession Structure The Commission reviewed a letter from Wendy Rubin, Parks & Recreation Director, stating that Nelson Melvin of Seconset Island Rd. , has been awarded -the bid for the food service concession at south Cape Beach, Mr. Melvin is proposing to install a temporary , self-contained portable building structure. Upon review, the Board determined that a filing must be made for the Structure. Fetter from John Sullivan, Birch a In response to the commission' s letter of May 14, Mr. Sullivan is request- ing an eaten ion of time -to revegetate Lot 34 Birch Gray due to extremely inclement weather conditions* The commission granted the extension of -time stipulating that the work must be completed within fifteen days upon receipt of notification. The Board also- asked to be notified in writing when the work has been completed. Letter to John Umina re: Count r Club Lane The Commission reviewed a copy of a letter from OEQE to John Umina dated May 25 with reference to the construction of the proposed Country Club Bane with relationship to the proposed plans for the Quashnet Valley Golf Course* E 8' s , Robert Fagan, mentioned ne that the proposed roadway appears to be out- side of the. jurisdiction of the wetlands Protection Act; however, advises Umina to notify the Mashpee Conservation Commission prior to commencing s that they might officially determine whether or not the roadway is appli- cable to the Act. ecial Municipal nj2loyees In a letter dated May 18 , the Board was advised by the Executive Secretary that the Board of Selectmen voted to designate members of the Conservation Commission as special municipal employees. Cranberry Bork Contract The Board of Selectmen have set a meeting for ,dune 15 at 6:00 in which they have requested a member of the commission to attend with reference to award- Ing the contract for the cranberry bog. Pauline DeLory said that she would attend the meeting. Re et for Information re: cranberry bo2s leash In a request from the Sandwich Conservation Commission for information on .easing cranberry bogs to private growers , -the Board asked the secretary to hold the letter until Mashpee' s cranberry lease is settled. Notification of Herbicide Sra in Cape- Cod Planning & Economic Development Commission informs the Board that Mass. General Laws Chapter 132 B, Section 6B requires all utility companies licensed to do business in the commonwealth to notify the Conservation Com- mission m- mission in every town of thein intent to spray easements or rights of way within town boundaries.
