Mr. Harold Cohen. who was present during the meeting, expressed his con- cerns over the proposal of Dr. Kastan to build a dock stating that it would effect property which he owns on' abutting lots. Peter Durmer told Mr. Cohen that the Commission takes things into consideration before ap- proval. However, Chairperson Studley stated that the Commission must take each case on its merits as it cores before them. Chairperson S tludley asked Mr. Cohen to write the Commission a letter stating his concerns so that it will be on file. Mr. Cohen mentioned that as an abutter he was not noti - fied of the hearing by the owner Cease and Desist Order James Haggatt, Lot 8 Godfre oa The Commission issued a cease and desist order for James Haggatt' s property .located at Lot 8 Godfrey road upon a motion grade by Charles Buckingham who moved that a cease and desist be issued. The motion was seconded by Wayne Tavares. All present were in favor. The Commission reviewed a letter from Mr. Haggatt stating that he intends to file for a new order of conditions. �■i iYi it#! Letter from Joel A. Lerner, re: Ma.kepeace/Wil ■+ les �ayyaraari�Yi•pW.� +� Yi1�i�IP11 ■ - IY�W■I� •/ The Commission reviewed a Letter dated May 25 from Mr. Lerner stating that he was sending the Commission a response from the Dept. of Fisheries and Wildlife with reference to the Commission's management plan for the lake- peace/Wil joles property. As Mr. Lerner failed to enclose the response from the Dept. of Fisheries and Wildlife, the secretary was asked to write to him. Letter from Dr. Charles Mann The Commission reviewed a letter dated May 27 from Dr.. Chasles Mann to Joseph DiGiovanni , Chairman of Triton Sound - keen. Council. The letter was in reference to the restoration of the beaches and shoreline on T iton Way. Letter from Chris- Kue]rler, New Seabr In a letter dated June 1 , Christopher Kue ler listed detailed information of how New Seabury proposes to maintain a program of seaweed removal from the beach area running in front of the Popponesset Inn and the Beach and Cabana clubs. . Charles Bucki-ngham roved that it be allowed and that they be cautioned to stay as clear from the beach grass as mechanically possible. March second Charlie's motion and stated that they be notified to stag be~ . law the high water mark and that the work has to be done before 8 a.m. All present were in favor. Grants From the Small Business Administration The Commission reviewed a letter from the department of -Environmental Management regarding a grant from the Small Business Administration to do landscaping and other beautification projects which was forwarded to them y the Executive Secretary. No action was taken.
