MASHPEE CONSERVATION CCP-`' ISSICN NIASHPEE TOWN HALL MEETING of AUGUST 24, 198 The following members of the Mashpee Conservation Commission were present for the meeting: slice Chairpersonaullo h F. DeLory, Wayne Tavares and March Dardano. Kane Determination The builder for Mr. & Mrs, Kane met with the Commission and the area where Mr. Kane plans to build his house was viewed on the plot plan As was previously discussed at the Comm* ssion' s meeting of August 1. with Mr. & Mrs. Kane, the determination was that no filing is necessary to remove crown cover and brush within . 100..f eet of the water. DAvid. Smith, Monomoscoy Island Rd. Mr. Smith met with the Commission regarding a filing to spread sand and to backfill behind a seawall within loo feet of Great River on his prop- erty located on Dots 474, 475 and 476 Monomnoscoy Island Road, Mr. Smith explained that he had ars original permit for the work being done•, however, it expired. He said that the engineering .work has been done and the wall has been poured. He said that he lost 18 feet of land and three trees, He said that he would like to get an extension' to clean the place up. Pauline DeLory commented that upon doing an on-site inspection%two piles of sand had been dumped in back of the gall as well as on the front of the house, Mr. Smith said that he would like to spread the piles, put loam on it and plant grass. He said that he did not read the fine print on the order of conditions originally .s ued and neg .e ted to extend the permit, Wayne Tavares asked Mr. Smith if the area is eroding--" Mr. Smith replied that the rain is' washing it, He said that it would b better off when the work gets 'done. Wayne asked if this would be the end of the project Mr. Smith replied that they would like to spread it and put in loam and seed it, Wayne asked if it was part of the same protect Mr. Smith said 'yes t' . The order of conditions issued to Mr. Smith back in October 18 , 1981 which expired in 1982 were reviewed. The Commission took the hearing under advisement. No DEQE number has been . issued to date.
