Pauline DeLory asked that he send a letter notifying the Police <br /> Department and the Board of e l ectm en that they were going to do it. <br /> Jean Thomas suggested that he just send the letter to the Conservation <br /> Commission so that it could be forwarded. <br /> 8 :00 Hearing <br /> Fells Pond <br /> The property owners of Fells Pond filed a Notice of Intent to mechanically <br /> remove milfoil from Fells Fond with a hydro-rake on which the following <br /> hearing was held. Mr. Neil � Besse and Mrs. Mary Scanlan were present t <br /> represent the property owners. <br /> `r. Besse explained that they plan on signing an agreement with the- Lycott <br /> environmental Research Co. , Inc. He said that the President attended a <br /> meeting with the Fells Pond residents on Sunday. He has excellent creden- <br /> tials and is approved by the :Mate, Mr. Besse said that in his proposal <br /> e will bring down his hydro-rake and will see that the weeds are properly <br /> taken out. Mir.. Besse said that they were also entering into a management <br /> agreement with him (Lycott) on a yearly basis in which he will survey the <br /> pond. twice a year and study it for nutrients and study it for any pollution <br /> problems which could' come about. He will submit complete details at the <br /> end of each year of anything he found of reference to the pond dealing with <br /> pollution plus any suggestions that will continue to improve the pond and <br /> the life of the pond. Mr, Besse said that the residents of Fells Pond voted <br /> to raise the 7, 000 - $8, 000 that will be necessary to take the weeds out <br /> as well as to sign the yearly management contract. Nr.
