Fle grind <br /> public hearing was held on the notice of intent filed by Robert <br /> Pauline De or r for the construction of a sinale-family res*dente and <br /> related septic system with attached garage to house and separate two- <br /> car garage portions of which will be within loo feet of Great River4 <br /> Pauline Deory stepped down from the Commission during her hearing. <br /> She explained that they are planning to build a two-oar garage and a <br /> single car garage. h'e said that everything has been staked out. She <br /> said that a variance is needed from the Board of Health on the septic. <br /> Mr. r e ory said that plans were submitted to the Board of Health with <br /> changes to comply with Title V and the -gashpee Town By-law, Jean asked <br /> if the Board of Health was satisfied:� Mr. De ory replied that they <br /> were except they wanted- it sta ed out. <br /> *�ayne Tavares asked if there were any other zoning constraints as far <br /> s size of lot. Mr. DeLory said that he had 19, 000 sq. ft. and 15, 000 <br /> sq& ft. presently. Chairperson Studley said that it was combining six <br /> lots, Nn, DeL ory said that they were strips and that in 1313 it was <br /> laid out. Chairperson 'Studley Eley asked if it was actually seven lots, <br /> yrs. DeLory replied. "yes". <br /> Chairperson :Studley as ed ghat had been done with the waterside of the <br /> lot,. Mrs,, DeLory said that it was on appeal and that ars on-site inspec- <br /> tion is corning up. c7larif ication was made that the hearing of tonight <br /> is a separate filing and not contingent on the filing. on appeal. <br /> At this point in the meeting. Charles Buckingham arrived. <br /> Bayne Tavares asked if it would have a crawl space underneath the house. <br /> Frs. De ory Said that it would be a full basement. fir. DeL.ory said that <br /> the first floor would be 11 feet above sea level and that the furnace <br /> would be in the breezeway, Nrs, DeLory - said that all utilities would be <br /> at 11 feet. <br /> Charlie Buckingham quickly reviewed the plan and told the Commission that <br /> the Board of .-Health requested that the septic system be staffed out. <br /> C.h a i rpe rs on Studley asked if they saw any problems-.. Charlie Buckingham <br /> said that they were not too happy with the pipe line under the garage. <br /> Jean Thomas asked why that would pose a problem. Charlie said that if <br /> anything went wrong with the pipe, two quarts would help alleviate clean- <br /> out or anything, He said that you are asking for trouble any time you <br /> put a sail pipe under a house and that he was not sure that DEQE would ap# - <br /> prove anything life this, Charlie was corrected that it was not under the <br /> house but under the garage. Charlie said that- it still was under a cement <br /> structure. Jean Thomas asked how it set with the neighbor' s septic systems <br /> v'r. eLory pointed out the location of Lloyd Eldredge Is well. He told the <br /> Commission that his septic system was on' the other side of his house -- <br /> 200 feet away or better. Mrs. Pauline De ory said that Mr. Eldredge has <br /> no objections, Reverond Nagle was present at the meeting and said that <br /> his concerns were on an abutting piece of property about the feasibility <br /> in teras of using it for water and septic .And so forth. The assessor's <br /> maps were reviewed and the abutting lots owned by. 'Reverend eagle were <br /> pointed out. +-lame commented that the septic . close to the property line. <br /> 4' .
