They also reviewed a letter from Town <br /> Counsel dated June 4 strongly urging the commissioners to consider ap- <br /> pointing the Building Inspectors as employees of the Commission with the <br /> title Conservation Agent or off iceror some similar designation. He also <br /> suggested that the Commiss on describe their job as that of enforcement <br /> of theprovisions f all conservation laws and that they be specifically <br /> authorized and empowered to isSue cease and desist orders in the name of <br /> the Commission <br /> The Commission voted unahimou ly to designate the Building Inspector and <br /> Assistant Building Inspector as their agent in enforcing the provisions <br /> of conservation laws and that they be given authority t issue cease. and <br /> desist orders in the name of the Commission. They also voted to accept <br /> this as a temporary solution until such time as a full-tune Natural Re.. <br /> source officer i s hired to assist thea. <br /> Educational Seminar <br /> approval was granted by the Board for March Dardano, Jean Thomas and Pauline <br /> DeLory to attend an educational wetland seminar at the Museum of Natural <br /> History on Monday, June 18,, <br /> Violation - Monomo y. Island ^Road <br /> The Commission sued an Enforcement Order to be seat to the violators on <br /> the Frank Robert' s property on Monornoscoy Island Road. Vice Chairman <br /> DeLory abstained. Chairman Studley, will be contacted before issuance. <br /> Re r est to UseJohn' s Pond Far <br /> The Commission reviewed a request from Boy Scout `droop 39 for use. of the <br /> parting area at John' s Pond Park during the evening of June 16 as they are <br /> planning a celebration for their 25th anniversary at Ctis Frailer Park and <br /> expect large attendance. They also requested permission to have camp fire <br /> - on beach. An Indemnification and Release fora was signed by Lois K. Rogers, <br /> Secretary for Troop 39. The Commission granted permission provided that <br /> the beach ales and regulations be adhered to and that they only stay until <br /> 10:00 +p.m. They will also advised that a fire permit is need if a camp <br /> fere is being planned. <br /> The Commission also reviewed a request from major Malcolm William of the <br /> .47th Resources Management Squadron, Texas Air National Guard to use the <br /> John' s Pond Fiona.c area on June 14 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on <br /> June 18 from 2 :00 p.m. until 10:00 pomp The Commission granted permission <br /> prow* thong that an Indemnification and Release form be signed and providing <br /> that Beach Rules and Regulations be adhered to. <br /> Both groups were advised that sanitary facill.'ties re not available. <br />
