Kathleen also has arranged for the metal bar in the <br /> doorway at the entrance to the gym to be removed prior to the meeting in order to permit <br /> easy access for wheelchair users. Terrie also will cheek on plans for handicapped <br /> Y <br /> parking in front of the school. <br /> Bob gave a brief update of progress on an effort to make people more aware of the need <br /> for constructing housing with a least a minimum degree of accessibility. This is a private <br /> initiative on Bob's part and not an official ADA Committee program. Dialogue with <br /> Mashpee Commons' officials has been encouraging in terms of planning for accessibility <br /> in the housing waits to be part of the Jobs&Whiting Chapter 40B project. Additional <br /> discussions are required to pin down the specifies but,to date, Mr. Storrs has indicated a <br /> willingness to plan for accessibility wherever possible.
