<br />Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 5, 2013 at 6:30 pm <br />Waquoit Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> <br />Present: Chairman Walter Abbott, Kalliope Egloff, Berkeley Johnson <br />Also Present: Selectman Mike Richardson <br />Absent: Allan Isbitz <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Abbott opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. and the roll was called. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES-October 1, 2013 <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson made a motion to accept the minutes as submitted. Ms. Egloff seconded the <br />motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Feasibility Study Status <br />The Chairman reported that there was no new information, but suggested that he had concerns <br />regarding last month’s report. The Chair indicated that work identified on the initial schedule <br />had not yet been completed, according to the report recently submitted. According to the <br />original schedule, Chairman Abbott pointed out that the schematic designs and preliminary <br />reports would be due this week and a public presentation was expected in two weeks. The Chair <br />stated that he would discuss the matter with the Town Manager’s office and email Committee <br />members with any additional information. He further noted that the final report was expected by <br />the end of December. <br /> <br />Mashpee Housing Authority <br />The Chair indicated that Ms. Botsford had contacted him regarding whether additional grant <br />funds were available for a feasibility study on 950 Falmouth Road for an MHA development. <br />The Chair stated that $12,500 of the grant had been paid for the Old Barnstable Road feasibility <br />study. Ms. Egloff recommended supporting MHA to pursue funds for a feasibility study. The <br />Chair indicated that MHA could apply for CPC funds. The Chair indicated that he would follow <br />up with Ms. Botsford to inquire further. Ms. Egloff recommended a future motion to support <br />feasibility study funds for MHA. <br /> <br />Wampanoag Development <br />Chairman Abbott reported that roadways and utilities had been laid. The Chair suggested <br />inviting the Tribal Council to provide an update about the project. Ms. Egloff stated that she <br />would reach out to the Tribal Council. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Town Meeting <br />Ms. Egloff expressed appreciation for seeing community involvement at Town Meeting. <br />Reference was made to the Committee’s mission and the State’s mandate that each town have <br /> <br />
