Ma hpee Conservation Commission Meeting of June 51 1986 Page Eight Ronald McCarthy - Cape & Islands surveying Co. , Inc. - Agent Petition to construct and maintain a wooden pier and float at Lot #295 Compass Circle* David Sanicki, presented plans . This pro ject--i s' now in appeal status with- the D QE with no finding from them as yet; however, the ratter was heard as it is required under the Town Bylaw t be heard by the Conservation Commission. The proposal includes the construction f a walkway and a ramp to a float with an overall length of 85' . The walkway is--pro- posed -- ro- poed ever approximately 6o' to keep foot traffic off of the marsh area to eliminate any erosion along the embankment. The walkway could have been shortened on the upland side; but it would have disturbed a greater area of vegetation. DEQE seemed to like the way it was proposed# according to err. Saicki. fir. Sanieki said that there has been an extensive amount of clearing done at the site within 1001 of the wetland without his prion knowledge or approval. A house will be proposed for construction in the future. se Behrman said that as part of any Orders of Conditions written, re-vegetation should be required. Agent has not received any comment or reply to this proposal from the Shellfish Committee. Mr. Thomas of the Shellfish Committee , being present at this hearing, stated that the Committee would requ st that the float be turned to rake it a "'T" structure, Also, that. piles be driven, The proposed project has been submitted to the Board of Appeals; however, they have not given a report at this date. This project will be continued until a report is received from the Board of Appeals and until the Order of Conditions is received from DQ . No further questions , comments or discussion.
