Ma hpee Conservation Commission <br /> Meeting of June 51 1986 <br /> Page Eight <br /> Ronald McCarthy - Cape & Islands surveying Co. , Inc. - Agent <br /> Petition to construct and maintain a wooden pier and float at <br /> Lot #295 Compass Circle* <br /> David Sanicki, presented plans . This pro ject--i s' now in appeal <br /> status with- the D QE with no finding from them as yet; however, <br /> the ratter was heard as it is required under the Town Bylaw t <br /> be heard by the Conservation Commission. <br /> The proposal includes the construction f a walkway and a ramp <br /> to a float with an overall length of 85' . The walkway is--pro- <br /> posed <br /> -- ro- <br /> poed ever approximately 6o' to keep foot traffic off of the <br /> marsh area to eliminate any erosion along the embankment. The <br /> walkway could have been shortened on the upland side; but it <br /> would have disturbed a greater area of vegetation. DEQE seemed <br /> to like the way it was proposed# according to err. Saicki. <br /> fir. Sanieki said that there has been an extensive amount of clearing <br /> done at the site within 1001 of the wetland without his prion <br /> knowledge or approval. <br /> A house will be proposed for construction in the future. <br /> se Behrman said that as part of any Orders of Conditions written, <br /> re-vegetation should be required. <br /> Agent has not received any comment or reply to this proposal from <br /> the Shellfish Committee. Mr. Thomas of the Shellfish Committee , <br /> being present at this hearing, stated that the Committee would <br /> requ st that the float be turned to rake it a "'T" structure, Also, <br /> that. piles be driven, <br /> The proposed project has been submitted to the Board of Appeals; <br /> however, they have not given a report at this date. <br /> This project will be continued until a report is received from the <br /> Board of Appeals and until the Order of Conditions is received from <br /> DQ . <br /> No further questions , comments or discussion. The Chairman declared <br /> the hearing closed, The proposal will be taken under advisement, <br />
