She stated the Board is an appointed Board, appoi9nted by the Sel- *- <br /> e tmen. John Varkonda 'is an appointed employee. There is a definite separ. a.t ion <br /> between the functions of the Commission and the Conservation Officer. . i ; <br /> controlled by the Selectmen in doing his job,and maintaining his budget. The Go m i s s i n will not be respon i b.l e.' <br /> for making up a Board budget. <br /> Re Conservation Bogs , Mrs. Polka suggested a special account be set up so the-t <br /> some of the income from the bogs be set aside to take care of the debt when it <br /> comes due. She suggested the Selectmen be made aware of any potential problem. <br /> She asked ed i f there are any plans for marking trails on Conservation Lards. pu'r,- <br /> ha ed and was informed this 'is being considered. She stated the Trust Fund <br /> is available if there is evidence of activity i n this area <br /> Town of Mash ee dater Commissioners : Cont i need until the end of the hearings. <br /> Gertrude Ferri day stated that an Environmental impact Study should be requested <br /> for the Pox Run Development because of the ground water concerns. A► letter t <br /> BEM was discussed. Abutters have been notified. Mr. Costa stated the septic sys- <br /> tem <br /> y -tam is the same and in the same place and the leaching fa i i ty is not moving or <br /> i nc rea i ng i n size, A variance has been received from the Board of Health and <br /> this project has been app r-roved under one Notice of Intent and order- of Conditions . <br /> The house is larger and the 'impact', if any, will be along the back of the house. <br /> A retaining wall is at the walk out level of the rear of. the house and the deck <br /> at the first floor. There wil-1 be no fi 1 i on the outside of the retaining wall <br /> towards the water,' but than will be fill on the inside. The foundation will <br /> be exposed with lattice work to cover the concrete. It was noted this house <br /> was not staked .on the lot. <br />
