To construct an 865 s .ft. addition <br /> to an existing dwelling at Lot 2C Horseshoe Bead flay with new sewage disposal <br /> system and water service in the buffer zone at Ashumet Pond . It is proposed to eliminate the existing sewerage disposal systern. <br /> There will be double what the requirement would be for a break-out situation. A <br /> staked straw bale dike is proposed during construction which wi 1 l be the l imi t <br /> of work. All disturbed areas will be graded , stabilized end reveg e to ted. The <br /> proposed building will be 60 feet from the top of the bank. The existing deck, <br /> which is closer, will remain. <br /> The Commission was advised there is a moratorium on building in this area and a <br /> perm i t will not be issued until they have tied into the water system and the old <br /> well abandoned and capped. <br /> Ms Behr a n commented the bank is extremely steep and has been continually mani red . <br /> She stated the commission would insist that the bank be allowed to revegeta to nat- <br /> urally. <br /> at- <br /> ural1 , Mr. Raymond stated this was a reasonable request. <br /> HEARING CLOED - ORDER OF CONDITIONS WITHIN21 DAYS . <br /> Carol Jacobson left at 8:45 p.m. <br /> : - Ronald Hilton. To lift the roof, add one bedroom, 1 family room, two <br /> baths and 4 basement , upgrade the septic system, fill existing hole and grade <br /> surrounding the house at 49 Frog Pond Road . Mr . Hilton presenting . <br /> John Varkonda advised he carne upon the project in November during an on-site <br /> for a Request for Determination of Applicability by Thompson Builders for a <br /> proposal to put a second 5tory on the house and a new basement was i n the process <br /> of being added. A stop work order was issued, n enforcement order from the <br /> Commission was issued and ratified for the spoil being dumped over the coastal <br /> bank. Mr. r l ton ' s contractor has agreed to remove the fill immediately. The <br /> area is still disturbed on the coastal bank and should have a vegetated cover <br /> planted or a straw mulch spread . <br /> Mr. Hilton stoted the fill has been removed . They will be working within the <br /> original foundation area but going up or the addition and under for the found- <br /> ation which is already in. <br /> John stated the best course of action i s to proceed with a heavy straw muleh <br /> now and a spring planting on the bank. It 4.rja s agreed there should be a row <br /> of bales at the top and also one part gay down on the damaged area . <br /> .
