Ar <br /> iASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> MEETING of JULY 161, 1987 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: V, Louise Beh rm n, Gertrude Ferriday, Carol Jacobson, <br /> Joseph Burns, Heather Urquhart, Elliot Rosenberg. <br /> John Varkonda, Conservation officer, was also present. <br /> 7.30 - Ernest Williams, Continued from June 18, 1987. Lot 262 Crosstree Way. <br /> [fir. Rosenberg arrived at 7:32, Nor. Williams presenting. Piles that existed <br /> were pushed out and must be rep l aced. There is a 4 x 4 platform existing, The <br /> ramp will have to be refutr6ished. one pile that is shown will not -be installed. <br /> The dock will be set and worked from <br /> Ms Behrman stated the blowout should be indicated on the plan and questioned if <br /> the entire area is to be done. Mr. Williams stated it would be and advised when <br /> originally put in, the two lots were owned by the same person who tried to center <br /> the dock on the lot. ' This could still be done but it would be close to the prop- <br /> erty of John Hayden from whom a copy of a letter was provided to the commission. <br /> The ramp will be the sane length but instead of coming in on the center of the <br /> dock it will come in on the end. <br /> It was noted ,there were no comments from shellfish. <br /> Ms B hrma� requested wri-i:" 1 art+ urbi:-,tied plans with an indication which date is <br /> correct. fir. Williams- noted this, and which piling will be removed, on the plan <br /> and initialed it. <br /> 1r. Rosenberg questioned the amount of the revetment to be replaced and su.gg- <br /> ested if stones are -being replaced on the beach end that a plastic screen be used. <br /> Mr, Williams stated they will be starting from one side and going to the other <br /> with spot repairs* Everything will not be removed and replaced.. He agreed i <br /> would be feasible to install a screen. <br /> An abutter directly across the way asked low far out into the creek the dock <br /> and float will be, Mr. Williams stated it will be no further than Mr, Hayden' s, <br /> 18 feet to the outside of the float. <br /> Concern was expressed by an abutter for the navigation passage of his boat and <br /> it being made impassible by Mr, William' s dock. Ms Beh rman this was not in the <br /> purview of the Commission and concern should be expressed to the Army Corps of <br /> Engineers, <br /> There being no further comments from the Commission or the public, the Chairman <br /> declared the HEARING CLOSED, ORDER of CONDITIONS To BE ISSUED WITHIN 1 DAYS. <br /> 7:45 - Joel Zeger. Arrow Engineering —Agent. 268 Poponet Island Road. <br /> To construct and maintain a docking facility consisting of a fined pier, ramps <br /> and an 8 x 18 foot float. Bob Raymond presenting. A revised plan showing a <br /> change in the width of the float to 6 ft. x 18 ft, was presented. Thecon- <br /> struction will be crossing a marsh where limited shellfish are contained. He <br /> advised the Shellfish Commission found no problem with the proposal at the <br /> Board of Appeals hearing. The dock has been positioned to allow maimun <br /> distance between this dock and that of Mr, Fina. A letter was presented <br /> by Mr. Pearson,, the property owner now stating he did not object to- this <br /> proposal , <br />
