Conservation commission <br /> Meeting of September 17F. 1987 <br /> Page 5. <br /> Mr. Crasseti stated if this were done with single family homes <br /> it would be peppered with septic tanks , The open space with <br /> mul tivrfamily on one large parcel brings in a state law that <br /> states over 1 F o 0 o gallons triggers the need for a sewage <br /> treatment facility. <br /> Maryanne Barros: Requested water sample results* Susan Peterson <br /> who took the samples, stated they were taken from Ams and Coombs <br /> Ponds, Lily Pond in Barnstable, the bog and freshwater etl and. - .. <br /> Mr. Grasseti stated the results were not in town hall but he <br /> could gladly make test results av ilab le <br /> Ms Be man requested a copy of this information for Commission <br /> records <br /> Ms Barros questioned the future use of the pond, Mr. Grasseti <br /> stated for passive recreation which Ms ros stated would include <br /> a pathway around the pond to invite destruction by outsiders, She <br /> asked if upkeep would be provided. , <br /> Mr. Gras seti stated the only proposal is to put a small 2-31 <br /> walking path to the waters edge and not disturb the forest floor, <br /> The association maintains the roads , grass and everything else, <br /> all common space. The only public area is a path deeded t <br /> Mashpee residents two hundred years ago giving access to the pond. <br /> Ms Behrman stated the path would have to be part of a Notice of <br /> Intent. <br /> Robert Johnson, Barnstable: He walked the area and expressed <br /> concern that the area is very muddy. He was unsure of proposed <br /> areas. <br /> Ms Be xman stated the hearing will be continued and there Will be <br /> an opportunity to offer input at an onsite in October. The road <br /> locations will be discussed again by the Planning Board. <br /> Ms Barros asked if fill. will be brought in to fill any existing <br /> areas. <br /> Mr. C a sets stated, if permuted material will be removed in <br /> places that are high brought into places that are low in the <br /> road bed, but none of the building sites are fill conditions. <br /> The two areas of fill delineated are 439 sqe ft. and 1270 sq. <br /> t. for proposed road access. <br /> Marie Bcalley: In 1963 and 1972 town meeting voted to transfer <br /> i to the care custody and control of the Conservation Commission, <br /> marsh and wetland bordering, adjacent to ponds including Auras <br /> Pond. She asked for an interpretation of this . Ms Behrman <br /> stated this would have to be' addressed to town counsel and <br /> requested a copy of the document. <br /> HEARING CONTINUED INDEFINITELY <br /> Mrs. Jacobson suggested hearings of this sort be s-chedul ed later <br />
