Also present were Patrick Coffey, Associate Member and Lisa Hanscom, Conservation Agent. 00 - Andrea Langhauser of BSC Group representing Le be l-So l l o s came before the Commission to reque-st in -writing an amendment to the Order of Conditions for Beechwood Point pier which was approved under S - , if condition 19 were amended from driving the piles to getting the piles and the use of- 8 inch diameter piles instead of 12 inch was permitted, i.t has been verified by an outside contractor and L bel- Soll ws that by using a dolly they can bring the piles and the jet down the proposed gravel drive. , They can build off site a snarl float for, two men, put It .in the water in the 12 foot wide area arra jet piles in ' lace. Once construction begins the contractor will determine if it' is necessary 'to. cut .-the pile and to minimize the amount of jett.ing-, the construction---site within Santuit Pond will be delineated by a siltation curtain. The time of year for fisheries habitat could be conditioned. There will be no need for heavy machinery on the bank r additional cutting if getting is conditioned. Mrs. Ferriday asked if the walkway would be finished . Ms Langhauser s-fated the walkway has individual retaining steps which would be a' pro- blem and should be left as a ramp. Ms B hrm n stated the pathway should be clearly staked and access to the ramp and walk areas defined. Referring to a building outside the resource area, she questioned ghat was being done with the run-off. Andrea stated this was before her time. Ms B hrman stated , to prevent further erosion that will impact on the resource area, siltation screens should be installed. Andreas suggested a cover letter to include this suggestion and agreed to bring this to the attention of the applicant. i Mr . Coffey recommended dry mix be used in sono tubes for the walkway leading to the pier. 7: 30 Colonial Gas Co. (Coastal ngineering) To install a gas main along the South side of Old Barnstable Road within the road layout. Karen Blanchard of Coastal cnsineering and Bob Dowling of Colonia Gas presenting. his Blanchard stated the main will be installed on the North side and the siltation fence will be moved to the north side along the top of the bank . Work will be completed in one day . New plans have been seat to DEQE and a request for amendment will be provided in writing. Ms Behrman stated , for future reference , contours must be shown on the plans, Answering Lisa, Ms Blanchard stated sedimentation will be removed before the siltation screens are removed . This will be conditioned .
