r CONS.E.-RVATION CON I BB I ON MEETING Thur day, June 30 , 1988 Chairman Louise Sehrman called the meeting to order l Baker Property, In visiting the property for other purposes, Lisa found that clearing was being done on the Baler property, cleaning up a road that has been overgrown and also clearing ars overgrown bog. Royce Baker - Cranberry bogs have been in 4amily since 1897. The yam i l y has worked thea for the last 15-20 years only for family consumption , Have also used wood for horse heating fire wood. The family is trying to open roads with large equipment such as a front-end loader for opening and grading. There are basically two roads. Four xears ago the € o s u i to control people came in to spray and stated that the roads made . bogs unusable . They (mosquito control tore out the dikes to drain the bog. f=amily is trying to get dikes back in to work roads. Also, they are trying to build up the roads that. have eroded. In the 1970's they attempted to put up a building for their equipment . Howe er , local people came in and vandal i Zed their work. Mr . Harriet Barer Hayward - Over the xears thea have al ays harvested some of the bogs. There has always been some ha4 vesting in these bogs every year, which is agr i cultural . Elliott Bakers should file with Con , Com. a Determination ion o ppl io- b i l i t form - an application to determine whether the ac.t applies to what the Bakers propose to do, as, to uses of land and equipment . '# Louise - Once the Determination is filed and approved, it covers the family in the future , as long as they're still using the lard for the same purpose .
