Conservation Commission
.
-July 14, '1988.
Page 6.
Mir. Govoni stated, when this was drawn, you requested a certified plot
plan with a topo which he had done. This was a landscape drawing b
Steven VanTol which shows what is going in each terrace area,
Mrs. Ferriday stated it is difficult to see where he's planting on the
top level and then on the beach, is he going to plant? Mr. Govoni
stated no, nothing on the beach. He has something Borne over the edge
of the wall to hide the wall .
Mrs. Ferriday stated, then you're going to remove those telephone
poles
Mr. Govoni stated no, I want those poles, they were a- wall and I want
to rebuild that. That's the wall that went. You have to, otherwise
you' d lose the whole thing. I mean, it was there.
Lisa advised the poles are the old type with tar and creosote
Mr. ooni- stated I will do anything you want, tell me what you- want;
I will put a different type of material there, I don't object to that.
Lisa stated the problem with the telephone poles is one is sticking
out here and you can already, see the sand that is building up. Mr.
ooni stated we can remove that; no problem.
Mr.- ,.Rosenberg asked why he has the poles-- in- the water.- Mr. Govoni
.stated it I* S on the edge o-f the water. Mr. - Rosenberg asked why. h e
needs the poles and he stated because you get. erosion., that' s
happening is, that was there okay, that was an existing wall ; this
beach was flat; this is the north wind coming this way- and erodes
this. Without that, all these are going to come dowry. That' s what
happened originally, it it broke through that wall and thea started to
work on the poles in here and they all came down.
Mrs. Marsters asked where the wall is on the plan. Mr. Govoni stated
that was the landscape plan
Mrs. Jacobson stated this plan is from May 21 , 1387 and is not showing
the stairs. Mr. Govoni stated they are not in, Lisa stated -that is -the
updated plan and should have a revision date on it.
Mrs. Jacobson stated there are- stairs there now. Mr. Govoni stated
there is only a temporary thing so they can get down but those aren' t
going to stay there. ,
Mrs. Ferriday asked how they would get down there.
Mr. Govoni stated, stowing the plans, it is set up so the deck here,
you go down to here and then down these stairs,
Mrs. Ferriday stated, so, you're going to be putting in stairs. Mr.
ooni stated these stairs are in, they are existing.
Mrs.. Jacobson asked if he were going to make this whole area deck.
Mr; ovoni stated no, this was proposed and you can modify it to any
way you want to coo i t. 1 don' t have any objections to whatever you
say, as far as the landscaping.
