They will accummulate all
the documentation and set ' up an appointment down the line.
Mrs. Simmons asked him to discuss this with Mr. Rosenberg and thanked
him for his efforts .
Don Bourne , Chairman, Citizens for waqu it Bay, asked if as a military
they were subject to the same permitting requirements as anyone else
under the Clean Fater Act?
Ma,, . Murray stated, -from his experience, they are required to follow
Most of the environmental laws.
Mr. Bourne abed whether their engineering studies are including water
analysis where the culvert comes out from the base; a broad-gauge
analysis of what's in that water, under different conditions at
different times of the year'
Maj. Murray stated the Commission has asked for testing to be done of
surface soil and water. They are looking for the chemicals as re-
quired by law. Their intention is to take a sample, do the testing
and provide them to the Commission. If the Commission determines
something else has to be looked for, then they would so back and try
to accomplish -that.
Mr. Bourne urged the Commission to have a conversation with some of
the people from woods Hole. Mrs. Simmons stated any information he
could provide to the Commission would be appreciated. He offered to
bring expert people to any meeting, if asked.
Col .
