Lisa Hanscom, Conservation
Agent , was present also.
The meeting was called to order at 7: 00 p.m.
Christopher # ordis , 64 Buccaneer way, Continued from November
John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands Surveying presenting. Plans have
been submitted to the Board of Health. The septic cannot be placed
closer to Buccaneer Way as lot 16 would become an u-nbuildable lot .
Work limit to be at the deck with work on the deck done by hand. A
system of gutters and dr rwells are proposed as well as a pervious
driveway. The well is down close to the water for lack of room.
Mr. Burns stated the test well was extremely large and beyond the work
limit where staked. Also, all vegetation, was removed.
Lisa stated it was at least 20 feet forward of the work limit.
Mr. Slavinsky stated a 16 foot test hole is an extremely big hole.
This was at ' s request, to get 4 feet below the bottom of the
leaching facility.
Ms Behrman asked why they did not do the test well where the septic
system will be put and was told it would not be possible to get low
enough. lir. Slavinsky stated DEQE sent a le-tier that the septic did
not conform -to Title V and wanted a much deeper test hole on the lot.
lie a8reed to look at the lot and suggested landscaping plans could be
required in the Order of Conditions.
Mrs . Simmons stated she feels that the area should be put back the way
it was and eveg tat, d before any work starts. The ommission agreed.
DEQE will be consulted.
Lisa asked Mr. Slavinsky if he was saying that DEQE wanted then to dig
down to a certain elevation He said that was right. Lisa stated, and
because of that elevation it was easier for you to come forward and
dig down 4 feet rather than back here and dig 8 feet. He steed they
did dig a hole back there first. A 14 foot hole is pretty big for a
backhoe.
think about what he just said.
Mr. Br suggested fir. Slavinsky should .h ,
Lisa asked if any equipment other than a backhoe had been considered
and was told that' s highly unusual .
Ms Behrman stated that perhaps it should become usual . Mr. Slavinsky
stated she meant a crane.
Mrs. Simmons stated she would hope it would never happen again in a
instance lice this. When DEQE finds they have been interpreted ars
this way , they will be very upset.
Ms Behrman suggested a conversation with the Board of Health re tests
pits and coordinating with the Conservation Agent.
