( Hayes Engineering ) For a Determination of
Applicability as to the resource area boundaries in Bufflehead Bay ,
Located southerly of Red Brook Road westerly of Great oak Road
easterly of dehu Pond .
Debra McCartney of Hayes Engineering presenting . The wetland resource
areas have been upped on the property . o work i being proposed on
thep ro erty now because f the lame tract land and they would
like to come to an agreement on the boundaries of the resource areas
with the Commission ,
They have differentiated between salt marsh vegetation and bordering
vegetated wetland along the salt marsh . Bordering land subject to
flooding according to FIMA also noted .
There are pockets ets of wetland indicated i n yell o t bogs and wetland
systems that lacked outlet or stream. The edge of wetland vegetation
is flagged . Be ause they lacked an outlet , they have taken the
position they are isolated l and subject to flooding . They have done
hydraulic engineering calculations to determine the water sheds .
The cedar swamp area has an area adjacent to it with no stream
apparent flowing out of it but they did d map the edge of the wetland
vegetation . This area. was included in the loo flood elevation on
the F I i maps . She d i,d not f Ind any stream in there it would border
on .
Mr . Rosenberg asked the location of the cranberry bog and it was
located on the map .
Ms McCartney stated the delineation here is bounded by the old
trails that are on either side .
The entire site delineated in red does not belong to the applicant
but they wanted to clarify the entire study site .
