They have been before the Board of Health for the variances required . The soft path to the pond will be hand cut . The house has been restated , also the septic . The path has been staked also . -r . Sherman advised Elias McQuaid brought to his attention that the well is located on a very steep slope . He asked bow constr- uction equipment will not damage the bank? Ms Behan asked tow they were proposing to access the pipe to the house? That will be a disturbance and access should be noted on the plan . Mr , Roberti stated they will go straight up into the house. Ms Behrman asked for the name of the person who can do this by hand and the amount of disturbance that will be necessary . . Mrs . Jacobson stated this would have to be haybaled , horseshoed and closer . - Piping of the well to the house will cause a lot of damage , Ms Behrma n asked the elevation on the retaining wall and Mr. Roberti was not sure , It will have a walk-out basement . ids Behrman stated retaining wall implies a change in grade ; if there are changes in grade , they had better be designed so there will be no funnelling onto the abutting properties . Mr . Roberti stated drywells are provided and shown on the plan . It was noted the proposed lawn may not be permitted . Comments f rom. the pub l i o Mr , & Mrs . Kelley ,, abutters ,, stated they are concerned they are asking, for a variance to be closer to the pond and questioned why the house could not be put back towards the street . Town water is expected in October which would eliminate the problem . Mr. Roberti stated he has been to the Board of Appeals four o five times and the house cannot be moved . Also , people may continue to use their wells . Ms Beh ran suggested he bring information i n on hors they propose to do the well by hand without damage and requested landscape plans for the disturbed area around the house and how they propose to landscape without the excessive watering or use of fertilizers . Sam Singer , an abutter , present with his attorney John Sweeney , stated he has no desire to stop Ir . Lally from building . He suggested an alternative to the plans . The house as originally proposed was 91 feet away from the pond ; the latest is 70 feet from the pond . He suggested he go back to the original and rove the septic over to another area still within the parameter of the Burd of Health within or beyond the 100 feet . He did not antic- ipate ntic- ip to any problem with the Doan of Health . Mr . Roberti stated he has to maintain 20 feet between leaching and the house foundation .
