Conservation commission
June 1 , 1989
Rage 1 .
Mr . Coffey asked how it will be placed and was told it would be b
small bobcat
VOTE : Motion made and seconded to issue a negative determination .
NEGATIVE DETERMINATION ,
BRADFORD WHEATLEY , Lot 11 Tide Run . Mario DiOregorio of Sabatia appeared
for William Henchy concerning a requestfor ars amended Order of Conditions .
Placement of the pool in the ACEC and drainage from the pool were major
concerns in the denial ofthe pool . These concerns were addressed in
the new revised plan , y use of backfilling around the foundation , they
will get the bottom elevation of the pool at or above the 11 ft. elevation ,,
out of the 100 year flood zone . He provided a detail of the leaching
pit which i l 1 be used to drain the pool . Ozone tretment prior to
draining is agreeable . A governing valve will lint drainage into the
leaching pit . The June 2nd plan does give capacity of the drainage pit
proposed for the pool which can handle a maximum of 238 gallons per min-
ute . The pump has a capacity of no more than 25 gallons per minute .
There is a 6 ft . enclosure around the pool for safety reasons . Them
are two new proposed contours , Mr. Duckley ' s letter would put the
bottom elevation of the pool at the 11 ' proposed contour which would
raise the pool out of the flood zone . He will have to raise elevations
to do i t .
Mr . Buckley chose not to appear here tonight against their advice , he
felt the plan and letter spoke for itself .
Mrs . Mar tens stated it appears from the plan they are going to fill a
pie-shaped area of the ACE .
[fir . OiGregorio agreed it look as if there is going to be some filling
within the ACEI ; a good portion of the permitted house is in the ACEs,
The limit of work itself is not changing at all , it is staying as
Permitted by the Commission .
Mrs , Marsters stated they are doing a lot more filling than the Comm-
ission had originally contemplated .
. DiGregorio stated the fill will be coring from the property itself ,
the excavation of the foundation .
Mr . Rosenberg stated he did not think they could change the contours
in the ACEC because they would be altering the terrain and the natural
retention .
#r . Diregorio stated he was surprised the pool was denied and the grouse
permitted within the AE .
Mr . Rosenberg asked if he is going to fill all of this into the 11 ;
the 11 is going to cone all the way down here .
Mr . D i regorr i o stated it looks like that reading his letter and looking
at the site plan . He has difficulty interpreting what Mr . Buckley meant .
