Procedures to be obtained from Town Counsel .
IRRIGATION SYSTEM: Mr. Rosenberg advised he had a con Terence call with
Toe Murphy and Joe Reardon on June 14 concerning the growers and met
with Joe Murphy, the growers and their attorney last Friday.
Unless there is a radical alteration of position, he did not feel an
agreement is possible with respect to the irrigation system. Going
_
back to the original documents, they gage a figure of approximately
$70, 000 investment, including everything. They now claim they actually
spent $120, 000, which they have no justification fore When pressed
about the divergence between th-e estimate and their new figure, they
stated they are selling it at the current Market value which is now
$120-330, 000. They claim the two pumps in the system cost better than
5 of the most at that time.
They were told it would not be possible to obtain the authority to
purchase the system unless the Town received a complete bill of costs.
pp
An appraisal ways discussed. The replacement cost o new system would,
be beyond reach
ears regain on the lease. Good faith negotiations will continue
Three y
g
There
beim no further business to come before the Commission, the
meeting was adjourned at 11 : 00 p. .
Respectfully submitted,
Diana M.
