Conservation Commission <br /> June 29 1989 <br /> Fuge 9. <br /> lSHPEE RIVER WOODLANDS COMMITTEE: <br /> Mrs. Simmons stated she walked the area and did not see anything <br /> beyond or above the 1 . She read a proposed letter. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded that the letter be sent to the sub-. <br /> committee. <br /> Mr, Burns stated he saw some areas, and Carol Jacobson agreed, where <br /> vegetation has been out and in some places within 20 feet of the top <br /> of the bank. Mrs. Simmons advised areas have approvel right down to <br /> the river for bird watching. <br /> Ms Behrman stated their meetings should be publicized and held in town <br /> hall . Mrs. Simmons stated she will attempt to attend some of their <br /> greetings, <br /> PAUL I RTICK The haybale system has been repaired per the enforcement <br /> order. An amended order of conditions has been requested for stairs <br /> and a fixed walkway.y. It was agreed this should be the subject f a <br /> new notice of intent. <br /> LITTLE RIVER BOATYARD: In response to numerous allegations, an RDA i <br /> to be submitted. It was agreed anything in the future should be done <br /> in a Notice of Intent. <br /> DRO XAZA I : A revegetation plan# has been received. A trench can be <br /> done by hand and Mr. Sherman saw no problem. The Agent to be notified <br /> when started. <br /> CONSERVATION HISTORY: The history was updated by Mary Masters. She <br /> was commended for the super ,job. Ms Behrman moved for a vote of <br /> thanks from the Commission. <br /> BUFFL HED BAY: This was not advertised. To be' rescheduled with <br /> agreement by Sa atia. Town Counsel is of the opinion abutters mast b <br /> renotified. <br /> DISCUSSION OF REGULATIONS* To be advertised for July 27. <br /> PSC. OLTOHY ENFORCEMENTORDER: Sabatia and CZM agree the rvegetation <br /> of the salt marsh is not feasible. The best course- would be to main- <br /> tain the enforenent order for a year with the hope natural vegetation <br /> returns and to retain the right to require more. <br /> They have requested permission to continue and finish dredging of the <br /> boat slips to allow them to have the spoils all removed at one time. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated he noted at the site a conrte ' ramp installed at <br /> one of the slips which was not part of their existing Notice of Intent. <br /> They. were told they would have to file a new Notice of Intent for this, <br /> Elias McQuaid had no problem with thein suggestion and # Sherman <br /> stated as In8 as they were going use mats and he was consulted, he <br /> would go along with it also. Samples of the spoils have been taken to <br /> Barnstable County , if they do not show any toxics, Ernie Virgilio and <br /> the Board of Health have agreed to take them at the dump. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg suggested any decision should be deferred pending <br /> results and present dry spoils should be removed and new spoils put in <br /> the same spot* <br />
