i
F Lust 24, 1989
Proposed regulations
Page 39
them a certain fee, every year.
COFFEY: If you file under the amnesty period, you get a license in
perpetuity, rf you file after the amnesty period, it depends on what
the use of the structure is, how long it' s for, it' s a minimum of 25
years.
A T I : Thank you very much.
CHESTER KOBL I f Y= I am the Harbormaster of Mashpee. Your stated that
the Town Conservation would mirror the State' s Chapter 91 procedure
when it goes through. Under paragraph H it seems that there' s a lot
more added here than the State has. One is the word floats which
cones underneath the Harbormaster and the next one is all structuire
whether permanent or seasonal must comply with this regulation, The
sState does not require that, the State requires permanent structures.
In here, underneath these rules, underneath the seasonal structure,
these people would be compelled to spend 4-5, 000 in engineering fees
again. So, what we would like to know is why is the Town Conservation
department trying to be more strict than the state?
CHAIRMAN: All I can say is that at this point we plan to mirror the
State* If that' s what the State' s regulations say, that's what we
will in all essence probably do,
BLISKY- Thank you.
MARIE MITA, Little Neck Lane: Somewhere I read something to the
effect that people would no longer be allowed to place their ramps
against the bank , not the ramps perhaps so much as the floats , is that
So?
CHAIRMAN: Yes.
1IIT : what are we going to do with them? Where are we going to put
them?
CHAIRMAN: Often they can be stored on your ramp, leading out to your
float.
1 I ITA: We don' t usually leave the ramp all the way out. I think we
have three sections and we bring them and pile them all on the first
section.
CHAIRMAN: They can be transported to the upland portion of your prop-
erty,
MITA: We don ' t have any upland portion. Here ' s my Douse and here' s
the bank; there' s none.
CHAIRMAN: Do you have adriveway?
I ITA* No, there' s no place to park. I have a lot that' s 8800 sq. ft .
and our house is approximately ' x 2W . My husband doesn' t even
have enouh room to stead back and swing a golf club without hitting
the deck.
CHAIRMAN: Could you give us the section you' re referring to ' in here?
