Conservation Commission
October 19, 1989
Page 7.
1 ' . Coffey asked if both buildings were tied into a sewage disposal system?
iI r Spohr stated no., they had a toilet in the shed which went into a dryweii •
According to Nor. Nahigian, Mr, Spohr stated he did not see this, the building
was ,hacked up because the floor had gone and they put some heavy timbers, 3
X 6's. which stick out for a future deck.
1s Behrman stated the RDA goes beyond the existing shed. Ir. Sp hr stated it
did not, it is just to discuss Mr. I ahigian's vi l lation of putting the foundation
in that proximity.
Ms Behrman stated any further construction on that shed should be a subject of a
Notice of Intent. Mr. Spohr agreed there was no question about that.
r
Richard Mailley, president of Ash umet-John i s Pond Assoc. spoke as an abutter. He
was in favor of all the improvements ents Mr. Nahigian has proposed and everything that
has been done is a ,boy to see.
Mr. Desrosiers asked if the property was occupied now and was told it was not. He
asked if the Board could take action to ensure that i.t is not, until the problem is
corrected.
A memo will be sent to the Board of Health expressing concerns*
VOTE: Notion made and seconded for a Negative Determination, only on the work that
has been done on the shed to date.
9: 15 GEORGE BEGAN J + for a Determination of Applicability on a proposal to place
wood chips at 177 Timberl ane Drive. There was no one present for this hearing.
Mr. Sherman advised this is the result of an Enforcement Order; most of the bark
chips have been spread. If this were anyone else, he would have no problem with it.
It was noted in the past five months there have been three enforcement orders on
Ir. Regan.
Mr. Coffey asked if any of the chips would end up in the pond? Mr. Sherman advised
what has been done so far is not a problem. Mr. Regan alleges the wood chips were
originally there and he wants to replace them because they were damaged.
Ms Dehrman stated there were no wood chips there originally and she would prefer to
see ground cover.
1r. Sherman stated they are also on the. adjacent lot on the north side. -
Ms
B h rman asked if this will affect the resource area? If they have been badly
damaged, the implication is they did not stay putt.
. Sherman asked the status of the main house revegetation. It was noted this is
in the hands of Town Counsel .
It was agreed this should be referred to Torn Counsel as the work is proposed on
the same lot.
Mr. De rosiers pointed out there was no address stated on the Request for Deter-
mination.
DISCUSSION TO BE CONTINUED TO THE NEXT MEETING AS NO APPLICANT WAS PRESENT TO DISCUSS
THE MATTER.
