ASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> MEETING OF NOVEMBER 15; 1989 <br /> Commissioners Present: Gertrude Simmons, Louise hrman, Patrick k , Joseph <br /> Burns , Harry Desros iers. <br /> The Meeting was called to order at 7. 10 p. . <br /> 7:30 ICH EL S CLAV l o, Se on ett Island Road, continued from September 7, 1989. <br /> CONTINUED TO DECEMBER 14, 1989 - 8:15 P.M. AT THE REQUEST of THE APPLICANT. <br /> 7:45 ALBERT E. MULLIN, JR. , 1'23 Tide Run, continued from October 5, 1989. <br /> Mr. Mullin presented abutter receipts. The proposal to expand the size of an existing <br /> kitchen was reviewed at the October bearing but not acted upon due to the abutters not <br /> having been notified. <br /> CLOSED - ORDER of CONDITIONS I1 21 DAYS. <br /> 8:00 DONALD J. MDCCLD I DK for the construction and maintenance of an addition to an <br /> existing dwelling, abandonment of e isting septic system and installation of a Title <br /> Septic System at 172 Waterway. Toad Palmatier presented abutter receipts. Steve <br /> Viglas, builder, was present also. The addition is a raster bedroom suite. The <br /> existing house is entirely above the flood zone. There is a fringe salt marsh along <br /> the eastern part of the property. The slope of the land is gentle to the shoreline <br /> with a slight break in the top of the coastal bank which is fairly. distinct towards <br /> the middle of the lot. The existing septic is to be abandoned and a new one con- <br /> structed <br /> orp- <br /> structed for 4 bedrooms. The retaining wall is 3-316" of landscape timb rs; there <br /> ill be no grading. There is a walkout basement. <br /> Ms Beh rman pointed out they are going from 161 to 121 and no notation on the plan <br /> that the grade is to be altered. Mr. Palmatier agreed this should be on the plan. <br /> Mr, Coffey asked if they are going to match basement floor elevation and Mr. viglas <br /> stated they wereoing to match existing. <br /> Ms Behrman stated the basement floor elevation is 10.47 and suggested they continue <br /> the wall to the 10 foot contour so as not to flood the basement. Mr. Viglas agreed. <br /> She asked for a supplementary detail <br /> . Coffey abed the amount of vegetation to be lost with the addition and was told <br /> it is fairly clear in that area. <br /> Mr. V i g l a s advised the proposed dr 1v eway will be of permeable processed stone with <br /> a drywe l l for the gutters. Ms Beh man asked for a notation where the drain into the <br /> dry ell will be located and 'asked if there will be an edge. She was told landscape <br /> timbers would work well . Revised plans will be provided. t <br /> Mr. Sherman advised the Board of Health has not received septic plans and approval <br /> i s necessary before closing. <br /> .
