The BOH usually puts the public comments in to their meetings, but due to <br /> scheduling problems, it was delayed. <br /> The Chairman asked the vice Chairman about a tine line for waterways and that there <br /> was no solution to getting rid of dredge soils. <br /> The vice Chainnan reported that an update on the dredging issues from the waterways <br /> Commission was being requested by the Board of Selectmen on an every two-month basis. <br /> Ted.Theis asked the Committee members how the ERIC was moving along. <br /> The vice Chairman said that there were two candidates so far that had come forward. <br /> Mr. Theis said that at the last meeting the Conunittee had recommended to each other to <br /> ask friends and neighbors and identify civic groups regarding joining the FDIC. <br /> John Miller spoke and said that he had corresponded with Joyce Mason after the March <br /> I oth cut-off date. All he knew was the members were, as yet, himself and one unidentified person. <br /> It was decided to regroup in the recruiting,strategy and he said he would be happy to be a part of <br /> that process. Since then,there had been a flutter of activity at the Chamber of Commerce level <br /> while Joyce was away and the Chamber through its} members and network had reiterated that <br /> call, fart of the constituency includes most of the civic and boards and or;gani*zations in the Town. <br /> He said that notice went out by e-mail and tln-ough the Chamber newsletter. <br /> Meanwhile,Mr. Miller said he and several others in the Chamber carne out with a list of <br /> prospective candidates who met the five criteria of expertise that was necessary and most of then <br /> lived in the Town.
