He talked <br /> about a house in Town where there was a drug raid going on upstairs. what ended up happening, <br /> he said,was a talk with the owner, and the owner had to go to the ZBA to get approved, so that <br /> they could kick out the tenant. <br /> The vice Chair said that if the party was going to have an apattment make it safe,to <br /> which Mr. Maintanis replied that the Building Department would try to make it safe and legal. <br /> Ms. Gurney said that the Board should have gotten involved with the owner. <br /> Mr. Maintanis said that the"Biggest thing is communications."He said that he had no <br /> empathy with people who had."deep pockets,"who had lawyers crafting the ruses, he added. <br /> He said that he wanted design/build companies to be held to a higher standard.He added that in <br /> the First two months,he wanted to nuke the building safe and then in two months,legal. <br /> He said that the State had developed a ticketing procedure on a commercial building, like <br /> a speeding ticket. He <br /> said that the issues need to be separated and shown to the voters. <br /> The various BRCC members also discussed noise control and that noise by-lags should <br /> be enforceable. <br /> The Vice Chair said that what he would like to see happen is that Mr. Maintanis draft <br /> what things he was doing in Zoning Enforcement andgive it to Don Myers of the Board of <br /> Selectman's Cottee. <br /> Mr. Maintanis said that he would request a meeting with contractors, with Building <br /> Department for lawyers, surveyors, enginee s and contractors regarding zoning enforcement, any <br /> kinds of enforcement. <br /> The BRCC members talked amongst themselves regarding meetings being held every }: <br /> two weeks and that the meetings should be short and to the point. The vice Chair said that if <br /> someone could not make it,the Board could send an alternate member. <br />
