TOWN OF 'M.A HPEE <br /> COASTAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE <br /> MINUTES of JUNE 221 1995 <br /> The Mashpee Coastal Resource Management Committee net at Ma shpee <br /> Town Hall at 3 : 00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22 , 1995, <br /> Board Members present were: Perry Ellis , Jim Hanks , Ed Govoni , <br /> Orin Evans , Grecs Taylor, and Bob Sherman. <br /> The meeting was called to order and the Minutes from the May <br /> 5 , 1995 meeting were net voted on since there was no quorum. <br /> Mr. Hanks stated that this committee can meet anytime but cannot <br /> vote unless there is a quorum with 9 people. Mr. Hanks offered <br /> suggestions that night help facilitate better attendance at <br /> C1MC meetings: Alternate the schedule with day and night <br /> meetings, appoint alternate board members , and possibly change <br /> the number needed for a quorum. Mr. Hanks offered to draft <br /> By Law changes that pertain to the above which can be <br /> submitted for the October Town MeetingIP <br /> It was decided that there will be no meetings scheduled until <br /> after Labor Day, unless there is a need to call an emergency <br /> meeting. <br /> No Public Comment. <br /> A draft of "Requirements for Coastal Resources Information system <br /> (CRIB)" was distributed ( see attached) . Mr. Hanks stated that <br /> we have the Harbormaster' s mooring base running, and we can <br /> do statistics as needed . Mr. Ellis noted that we also have <br /> Town rental moorings and bousehouses at the ramps. He also <br /> stated that boaters can call the Harbormaster and not depend <br /> on the Coast Guard when in trouble. Mr. Ellis displayed a poster <br /> regarding the new pump out system, Mr. Hanks noted we need <br /> a contract with Half Tide Marina; the Little River contract <br /> for pumping is in place. Where has been $24 , 972 allocated f or <br /> this year, and the terms of the grant state the service be free <br /> of charge. The boat will be delivered July 3rd, and Half Tide <br /> has received the pump out caddy. Mr. Hanks reviewed the Database <br /> Fields in the Draft and its uses by each Board on CRMC f he will <br /> add DPW to the chart. <br /> Mr. Harks passed around the booklet entitled "Aquaculture in <br /> Massachusetts : A Strategic Plan for Industry Growth and job <br /> Creation, " and articles on the cultivation of clams , mussels, <br /> and oysters ; he would like to form a sub committee. Mr. Hanks <br /> commented on the suggestion by Monomoscoy Trust to haul the <br /> algae out of Hamblin Pond.. Mr. Taylor suggested there might <br />
