4 <br /> Public Works Building Committee <br /> Meeting of November 1 , 1984 <br /> Page 6. <br /> Ellis stated he is asking thea to ease their charge for moving the sand, as <br /> they are being allowed to push it over into the hollow. There is extra work <br /> in doing that,, but charges may wash out. Also, he stated the wood versus <br /> laminated beams credit will be coming as soon as he gets the figures from <br /> the contractor. <br /> Mr* Virgilio asked the committee to consider counter tops for the building <br /> if there is an amount of $1020. left in the account. The committee agreed to <br /> consider at a later date, if funds are available. <br /> Mr. Re questioned Ellis regarding a statement in his letter to Aaron Cohen, <br /> page two., that an extension of time should be allowed, <br /> Ellis stated he wished he had the funds and time to allow him to s pend. more <br /> time on the building contract and to get some answers, However, he will con- <br /> tact Mr. Cohen and tell him the town is going to pave and push him for an immediate <br /> answer and a resolution within two weeks. He also stated the contractor needs <br /> to feel he is getting something out of i t, <br /> He explained to the committee that a change order has the length of the extension <br /> of time; or none, dollar value; or none, or a -credit if one.' Hopefully it will <br /> be a close gash. <br /> Mr. Re asked Ellis to get the credits on the beans and the electrical . <br /> Ellis stated he will try to see Mello.- <br /> John <br /> ello.-John Wyllie gave stickers to Ellis, which the Clark gave to him, These oxcel <br /> stickers s how the 2 x b cap plates had been treated, <br /> Mr. Re stated he has been holding letters' i n answer to Mr. Cohen's letter to <br /> him concerning dirt to be left on site. Seleftman Hanson and Town Counsel want <br /> a letter sent to Triple A, however, Mr. Pe felt it would be preferable to hold <br /> the letters if Ellis feels sure thi s can be settled without the letter. <br /> After di scuss i on, it was agreed to hold the letter to Aaron Cohen, but send the <br /> letter to Ellis Laycock, <br /> It was noted the committee and Mr. Laycock were pleased with project superintendent <br /> Jack Cartier. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Diana Mf Lund, Recording Secretary <br /> CC: selectmen <br /> Joseph Murphy <br /> E.
