Public Works Building Committee <br /> Minutes of December 5,1984 <br /> Page 4. <br /> Sam Re read a letter from Ernie Virgilio regarding a complaint of further <br /> damage by Masaschi equipment being unloaded on the road at the jobsi to on <br /> November 29, 1984-0 He has four -photographs showing damage which will- be <br /> presented to the committee. He referred to his previous letter of October <br /> 2 stating unloading of machinery had caused damage. it is his intent to <br /> file a complaint with the Chief of Pol i ce to recover the cost of repairs <br /> to this section of roadway. Ellis agreed to pursue this natter with Jack <br /> Cartier who had left the meeting. The cast of repairs is undetermined. <br /> Another letter from Ernie Virgilio- was. read to the committee concerning <br /> numerous complaints of trash on the road -and at the site. The letter was <br /> given to Ellis Laycock who agreed to pursue the natter with Jack Cart.'er.. <br /> An invoice from Leo O. Sweeney, clerk of the Works was presented. <br /> VOTE v Moved and seconded to pay Leo G. Sweeney $1700-002 170 hours for the <br /> period of October 29 through November 24. Unanimous <br /> John Wyl 1 i e reported the Clerk had-been paid $6150. for 615 hours to date. x <br /> Mr. Re read a copy of a letter from Lawrence Lynch to Aaron Oohen regarding <br /> the ready-mix provided and stating it met the 3000 1b* requirement* However, <br /> as valued customers Lawrence Lynch would contribute $97.00, tho price differ- <br /> ential , <br /> iffer- <br /> ential , to a charity chosen by the Board of Selectmen of Mashpee. The letter <br /> was given to Ellis Laycock for the structural engineer to res pond. <br /> Anthony Fiorenti ni advised he i s awai ti ng -a formal quote on the floor tiles. <br /> El 1 is agreed to assist with the selection of the floor tiles, <br /> The minutes of November 28, 1984 were reviewed, with the following amendments <br /> � paragraph rap <br /> Page l 4th h A 60 well pit was delivered, not installed. <br /> g <br /> Page 2, 3rd paragraph - The bl ockwork around the front stat rway, not the <br /> stairway, should he finished. <br /> Page 2, last paragraph - The word membrane added to the roofing contractt <br /> VOTE: Moved and seconded to accept the minutes Of November 28, 1984 <br /> as amended, - Unanimous vote. <br /> Ernie Virgilio arrived from another meeting. He was informed Jack Cartier <br /> had agreed to help set the grades if he would put down the stakes. He agreed <br /> Mr. Virgilio stated he has prepared for all that has been discussed. A dec- <br /> ision <br /> ec- <br /> ision will be made at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow whether the people involved will be <br /> called in to work for Friday. - We would, be requisitioning work from thea. <br /> He stated he will present quotes to the committee and the committee will pay <br /> the contractor direct, an hourly rate, cost plus (15-25% over their cosh <br /> An advantage is that the town already has contractor pricing on yearly or <br /> bi-annual contracts which is a 30 saving <br />
