Public Works Building committee <br /> Meeting of May 15, 1985 <br /> Page 4. <br /> Aaron Cohen advised the painting foreman was on the roof and it i s his opinion <br /> the plumber did not put a 12 inch curve and the flashing. Silicone has been <br /> put on. If this does not solve the problem, it is coming through the cowling. <br /> He stated to permanently solve the problem, it should have a curve and be <br /> flashed, which is in the plumbing spec and the plumber will be directed to <br /> do this. If he does not, a sheet metal contractor will be hired to do this <br /> properly. <br /> Mr. Cohen further advised all touch-uta n i ng has been done by his men, not <br /> E.c.M t S t Everything has been paid to/wi h t e exception of $1500 and the comm- <br /> ittee <br /> omm-_ittee is withholding $2800. from Triple A. He stated the work done by E.c.M.S. <br /> has not been satisfactory, T <br /> Mr. Cohen -stated---Tri p1 e- A wi-11-. proceed--wi th-.the---work--and -ba-c ch-arge t he-----con <br /> tractors involved, <br /> The committee was advised the mirror for the bathroom is on order. The gauge <br /> on the tank is del i vered, not instal led. <br /> A letter was read from Ellis Laycock to Aaron Cohen dated May g stating work <br /> is to be completed by May 15o <br /> A letter from Clerk of Robert Millen Co. was read requesting direct payment <br /> of $1 ,020. Ellis advised this is an attempt to collect for work not performed. <br /> A copy of this letter was given to Ellis for action. <br /> It was noted Ellis has marked the asphalt where it is to be removed. Removal <br /> I s to be done by the Highway Department as previously agreed to by Mr. Virgilio. <br /> The committee was advised the painter i s not going to give a release of lien. <br /> Ellis stated he advised Mr. Jo i a he must complete the work under protest or <br /> he will be back-charged. Aaron Cohen has to answer to the subs he does not <br /> get releases f rom f No requisition has been requested and Ellis stated he <br /> wants warantees , guarantees , etc. , prior to making one out. <br /> L <br /> Ellis stated the unpaid bills total $28,000-29,000 with $23,000 remaining,. <br /> The banding company will be referred to for this overage. He advised Aaron <br /> Cohen stated today that he had another line of credit. <br /> It was noted as of May 15 the deadbol t on the garage door has not been re-- <br /> moved as promised by Mr. Virgilio.
