Public Works Building Committee <br /> Meeting of dune 18, 1985 <br /> Page 2. <br /> Grading_, Ellis advised he has been unable to reach Bonito, <br /> There was discussion of the Selectmen's meeting and the committee request that <br /> a permit for Bonito to remove fill from the town be contingent upon his complet- <br /> ing <br /> omplet- <br /> ing the grading at the facility. <br /> Anthony F i o ren t i n i stated the agreement for anything to be removed from th i s <br /> site was predicated on a letter Ellis had prepared. If these conditions were <br /> met, as the permit was to be issued by the selectmen's office, the compliance <br /> would be handled by Joseph Murphy; <br /> Mr. Fiorenti n i agreed to talk with Selectman Terry concerning the, permit and <br /> Mr. Re agreed to go to New Seabury and speak with Mr. Burden, or Buckley, to <br /> ask their assistance in getting the agreement with Bonito honored. Ellis stated <br /> he was present and witnessed the agreement between Jack Cartier and Bonito to <br /> reg rade in return for the fill , <br /> After discussion, it -was agreed to have Anthony Fio renti ni contact Higgins, the <br /> low bidder for town work and have him look at the work to clean-up and grade the <br /> front of the building. Ellis agreed to be present to explain what has to be done. <br /> VOTE: Moved and seconded to approve the cost of up to $720.00 for Higgins for <br /> two days work to clean up the front of the building, wouth and west, and <br /> remove the debris. This to be back-charged to Triple A and the bonding <br /> company to be notified by Ellis Laycock that the town is taking over <br /> this portion of the work* Unanimous. <br /> Coo r to Paint & s i n Room: It was agreed if funds remain . the door will be <br /> replaced. <br /> Bi l l s' to be paid & warranties.- E11 is stated a 1 etter has been sent to the <br /> •IYW�Y�1 <br /> bonding company stating a shortfall of approximately $15,000. exists. He <br /> vii 1 l call them this week. They have copies of all bills and requests. <br /> Colonial Cas Bill : Given to El 1 i s to be presented to the bonding company. <br /> Request for Direct Payment: Letter from Robert Millen & Sons Co. was <br /> given to Ellis for resolution. He stated this company did not perform <br /> the work and this probably will end up a legal matter. <br /> The secretary was instructed to write to Millen and advise them their letter <br /> was turned over to the architect and will be presented to the bonding company. <br /> Punch E i st: Ellis stated he will contact Aaron Cohen to ask what can be done <br /> to finish up the items on the list and advise that the town i s looking to hi lre <br /> workers to accomplish this if he does not return to the site in one or two days. <br /> Anthony Fi orenti ni reported the cove base i s in and he will pick it up for Mr. <br /> Virgilio to install . He also advised the plaque has been received. <br />
