They explained the TC anomoly, which is a very hot pollution <br /> segment just south of SD-5 where Highland and Hoophole meet , <br /> and the. levels are up to 1500 ppb. They did boorings on Ashumet <br /> Pond which came up clean. Juan suggested they do more boorings <br /> to the north rather than to the south. The catfish situation <br /> was brought up by the Mass. Fisheries. Juan urged EPA and <br /> DEP to support the clean up. The citizens voted to send a letter <br /> stating that choice E be followed. Juan suggested they put <br /> the treatment facility at the boat rarap. DEP seems to be in <br /> favor of doing something; EPA said nothing. It appears they <br /> are pushing to do nothing. <br /> They are using scare tactics with the homeowners near John ' s <br /> Pond. A good well fence could capture 70%-80% of the <br /> contaminants. Gree T. stated they do not need to use sheeting. <br /> Mass .
